Tempsen have many type of thermocouples ( B,R,S,K,J,T,E) Maximum recommended Ambient to 400 ºC use J type (IC) , Ambient to 1200 ºC use K type (Cr/Al) , Ambient to 1700 ºC use S type (Pt Pt Rh -10%) , Base metal J type recommended for oxidizing and reducing atmosphere. Chromel/ Alumal K type recommended for oxidizing and neutral condition not recommended for reducing atmosphere. Stainless steel and MI suitable for general heat treatment. Mild steel for low temperature ovens. low temperature upto 150 ºC Teflon/Teflon wire type Thermocouple
